Surviving in a crowed market…
Problems in the availability of silicon have driven developers to explore thin film PV. Worldwide, some 140 companies have announced plans for commercial production of PV thin film modules within the next five years. However, only five companies in the world appear to be selling modules in quantities larger than ten MW. Planned global PV production capacity appears to be much greater than forecast demand, resulting in a huge gap. Some industry experts expect many of the entrants to bail out as sales fail to match investor expectations.
So how can thin film PV enterprises survive to reap the eventual rewards predicted for their technology? Where should they be looking for business now? How should they shape their product and commercial strategies to meet the future demands of the market?
Break-through in creating successful business models for thin film PV!
Building on the huge success of our Thin Film Solar Summit USA and Europe attended by over 200 leading thin film executives, Thin Film Today is proud to present the Thin Film Solar Summit Japan, the only event to focus solely on making the commercial potential of thin film PV into reality.
This summit is going to be a breath of fresh air to the solar industry; everywhere you turn when you get in the conference room or step into the coffee reception area you are going to be surrounded by key decision makers from the best of the best. The top thin film companies, researchers and experts will share and present their knowledge, views and valuable tips for the commercial exploitation of thin film PV in Japan.
